As I am working I have been looking back into graphic scores in relations to my illustrations and writing process. As it will that the listener will be faced the score it may sway their understanding that the sound is accompanying they Visuals not the other way around. It is similar to how sound is overlooked in movies as I have learnt from my Foley project that most people are more compelled by interesting imagery then audio. How will this effect my process and what will I do to combat that.
Looking at through the different Graphic scores I notice how people question if the scores will sound the same if different performers play it and I like how it will be unique each time. Like wise with my piece i would hope that if just shown the illustration with minimal instructions the sound will differ for each artist. But does that then lose the integrity of the piece? or have i failed to make a proper score? How can I approach this with authenticity and experimentation. So far my sound composition is lacking only with some drones and synthesizers but i am continuing to works and expand on it. It may change as time goes on but i will still show my work in progress.
