Introduction to the portfolio unit details that we must prepare two project proposals and a ten minute presentation.
I am interested in doing a live performance that would have a video made in advance play in the background as I prepare a piece to play live that can have improvisational elements added to make it unique for each performance.
In these two video’s I want to utilise the way that they use a multitude of both instruments and miscellaneous objects to create different effects and timbre, as well as using unconventional uses for both. This will give me the opportunity to use knowledge from from we did Foley for sound for screen and new skills I have yet to learn.
The second project I want to do is a semi-animated music video that I want to make illustrations for so that it can change along with the music. This gives me the opportunity to show some form of narrative for the piece and involving techniques with field recordings and coding. This makes it a multi medium art work so I can show off different sides of what I can create. I want this to be based of off a character I have made and will be using my own illustrations mixed with editing and coding.
